This New York Times story literally made me nauseated.

A coalition of Orthodox Jewish, Roman Catholic and Evangelical Protestant leaders are banding together to keep New York from marriage equality.

It is not surprising. But sickening none-the-less. I have the feeling that they will lose. I hope so. I seeded a story the other day about a NY couple in their nineties who have been together for over 60 years. All they want to do is get married before they die. Who the hell has the right in 2011 to tell them they can't?

I think people should let people just be together, if they want. Like, they are not inviting anyone else to join in?

I think the point is that for a lot of these gays they want to join in but the voices in their heads tell them they are not allowed to

Good evening ladies and my pleasure to join you. It seems strange in this day and age that people would deny the rights of people who are in love. To deprive them the satisfaction, to legally be recognised by the law of the land and to the same rights of every other citizen, and be protected by the same laws that they all share. The judgmental aspects of religious leaders, to inflict, the pain and injustice by their actions and words, and to be that target of their hate and disgust, simply for being in love and wanting to share the rest of their lives legally, like every one else. When two people find that loving bond and want to share each other, no laws are religious beliefs should be allowed to be stopping them, land of the free, not quite yet.

It is easy to right words that you honestly believe in, I feel really sorry for the people who are affected, and deprived of what they should have, and it just isn't right.

The nosy insecure anti-equality idiots, apparently.

This shouldn't surprise anyone as the only argument they have is a religous one. What I don't get is how politicians that are sworn to uphold secular law fold for these people, everytime.....

Your religous leaders, brought together to work for hate and division, at a house of worship soon.

If the people do not belong to their church what right do they have to say anything and our government should be listening to them at all. The Catholic has no right to say anything look at what their priest did to children and wasn't a Rabbi the other day arrested for touching a girl.

It is ok for them to believe in their religion but they have no rights to push it on to other people, please start taxing the church for they are over stepping their bound.

Being that I am not religious I do not give a (blank) what any church think about anything, I guess priests are not gay playing around with boys are they. Come on religious people are sick in the way they think and is teaching hate.
